today sunday we went to church for 1 hour of spanish but we felt the spirit and reflected on our experiences here. It truly has been phanominal. We have seen so much poverty and hunger and yet so much on people sharing what little they have with others that have nothing. With the world news lately and the changes that are here i can't help but wonder what has happened to America. Are we heading into the cycle of apostacy? What is it going to take to turn things around. How bad will devestations become before we accept Christ and all that he teaches us.
--sorry but this is a result of seeing Peru as it is now. It is humbling! After church we went to visit the Maternity hosp. and give the new mothers a gift or two. It was so fun! Happy moms and beautiful babies. Only also sad because of the poverty. One little mom was only 14 yrs. no father. Our cab driver was all smiles as he helped us carry bags to the hospital. The hosp administrator also was quick to show us around and take us to the neonatal unit for 10 babies and then to other part for many more. He was happy for these mothers to get a kit and some we gave two to. This was a rewarding experience.
